Days only HGV Technician needed Glasgow Our client, an independent business providing service and maintenance to several world renowned brands of commercial vehicles, is seeking for a HGV Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience within commercial vehicle and fleet service industry . The technician will be part of an ambitious team and work within a busy service department to facilitate the smooth and efficient running of the department and ensure it meets its targets. Role: HGV Technician Hours: Monday to Friday 8am -5pm ,with 1 hour unpaid lunch break Location: Glasgow Requirements: * Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (HGV) or equivalent. * Previous experience working on HGVs, ideally with a range of models and types. * Strong diagnostic skills and a good understanding of vehicle systems. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. * Full, valid UK driving license (HGV license preferred but not essential). * Strong communication skills. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. * Diagnose faults and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. * Perform MOT preparation and repairs as required. * Complete all relevant paperwork, including service reports, parts orders, and vehicle records. * Ensure compliance with all health and safety policies and procedures. * Work independently or as part of a team to meet service deadlines. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
