ASL Technical are working on behalf of our Surrey based client who have an ideal opportunity for an experienced Data Analyst or Graduate as they expand their Prototype and Development Department. Job Description: The successful Data Analyst will play a pivotal role within the Prototype and Development Department, collaborating closely with test technicians and engineers to provide critical data insights that drive our projects forward. The role will involve analysing data, generating reports, and manipulating information using various tools to support the department's goals. You will be instrumental in optimising the processes, ensuring data accuracy, and facilitating informed decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with test technicians and engineers to gather, analyse, and interpret data. Generate detailed reports using Excel, Power BI, and SAP to support project development and testing. Utilize PowerQuery to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Manage and manipulate Bills of Materials (BOM) data to support project planning and execution. Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reports and analyses. Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to provide insights to stakeholders. Assist in identifying trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to drive continuous improvement. Support the team with ad-hoc data requests and analysis needs. Qualifications: An Engineering degree in relevant field or previous experience within a similar in an engineering capacity. Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation. Strong knowledge of Power BI and PowerQuery for data analysis and reporting. Experience with SAP and BOM management. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner. Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
