Controls Engineer - Coventry - Up to £45,000 plus benefits - Permanent A Controls Engineer opportunity has become available for one of the world's leading technology companies for development, simulation and testing in the automotive industry. Your responsibilities: Support process for powertrain control requirements development. Design, simulate, implement, debug, test and research control and estimation algorithms for various electrical, mechanical, and thermal systems in powertrain systems. Engage with suppliers and other stake holders to review hardware and software attributes. Develop the Software and Controls for the electrified powertrain. To apply for this position you should have some of the following: Engineering/Science Degree (or equivalent). Automotive engineering knowledge/experience in design and validation for electrified powertrain systems. Experience of automotive control systems software development, data logging and calibration tools. Excellent communication and presentation skills. A working knowledge of vehicle architectures, communication protocols CANFD, FlexRay and Automotive Ethernet. Experience with Vector (e.g., CANalyzer, CANape) and Mathworks tools (e.g. Matlab/Simulink) or equivalent. Driving license valid for driving in the UK.
