Beyond individual car enthusiasts, their groundbreaking division develops innovative EV solutions for prestigious clients, including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and sectors focused on sustainability such as fashion, art, and luxury. Your Role As Control Systems Engineer, you will be integral in developing full vehicle electrical systems and controls, improving the existing Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) platform, and collaborating with external partners on complex software projects. Key Responsibilities as Control Systems Engineer Simulink Model Based Design: Spearhead the development of next-generation ECUs through model-based software development, including SIL, HIL, and vehicle testing and validation, supporting a platform approach to EV design. Control Architecture: Define vehicle-level control architecture and strategy, working closely with the Lead Systems Engineer to meet technical requirements. Design and Development: Oversee the design, development, and delivery of low-voltage vehicle systems software and hardware across various EV projects. Collaborate with the mechanical design and integration team to ensure timely and budget-compliant project delivery. Compliance and Testing: Develop system-level DFMEA and DVP, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory standards. Perform component, system, and vehicle-level testing to support DVP completion. Requirements Generation: Create system and component-level requirements documents. Manage suppliers to ensure hardware delivery aligns with project milestones.Essential Qualifications Strong understanding of control strategies and model-based software development ideally for vehicles. Experience in V model system design, development, and delivery. Knowledge of vehicle electrical and control architecture. Familiarity with DFMEA and DVP processes. Proficiency with CANbus systems and data log analysis.Desirable Qualifications Expertise in electrical hardware design and development. Practical experience working on vehicles in a workshop environment. Knowledge of low-voltage vehicle systems and harnessing best practices. Experience in low-voltage harness design. Understanding of EV system architecture, including motors, traction inverters, DCDC converters, power distribution, chargers, and thermal systems. Familiarity with functional safety and EV legislative standards (e.g., ISO26262 and UNECE REG100).
