Composite Laminator - Motorsport & F1 Location: Switzerland Department: Motorsport Engineering Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Composite Laminator to join our high-performance motorsport team, focusing on the development of cutting-edge components for Formula 1 and other motorsport applications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with advanced composite materials and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all components meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities: Composite Laminating: Lay up composite materials (e.g., carbon fiber, Kevlar) to create high-strength, lightweight parts, including but not limited to body panels, structural components, and aerodynamic elements. Material Handling: Accurately measure and cut composite fabrics and core materials, ensuring correct alignment and placement during the lamination process. Tooling and Mould Preparation: Prepare and maintain molds and tooling to ensure precise and consistent results in component fabrication. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a composite laminator in a motorsport or high-performance engineering environment, with a strong background in Formula 1 or similar disciplines preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with carbon fiber, Kevlar, fiberglass, and epoxy resins. Experience with vacuum bagging, autoclave curing, and other advanced composite manufacturing techniques is essential.
