This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced engineering professional to be at the forefront of component selection, qualification, and reliability within complex engineering programmes. 🔧 About the Role As a Component Engineer, you will be responsible for selecting, approving, and qualifying purchased components used within assemblies or end products. You will ensure that all components meet stringent reliability, cost efficiency, and quality requirements. You will also collaborate closely with developers and cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise during design reviews and addressing any component-related issues that arise. 💼 Key Responsibilities * Lead the selection, approval, and qualification of purchased components. * Ensure components meet cost, quality, and performance requirements. * Troubleshoot component-related issues and provide effective resolution. * Collaborate with developers during design reviews to evaluate and validate component choices. * Manage projects and processes independently with minimal supervision. * Coach and review the work of junior or lower-level engineering professionals. * Tackle and solve difficult, sometimes complex, engineering challenges. 📚 About You You bring advanced knowledge in component engineering, typically acquired through a blend of education and extensive hands-on experience.
