CNC Machinist β CNC Turning / Programming / Setting / Operating π Location: Molesey, Surrey π° Salary: (Negotiable depending on experience) π Hours: 40 hours per week + Overtime Available π΄ Holiday: 26 days + Bank Holidays π About the Company We are working with a well-established precision engineering company based in Surrey, supplying high-quality CNC machined components to a broad range of industries including automotive, agricultural, medical, architectural, leisure and lighting. Operating from a modern 12,000+ sq. ft. facility, the business continues to invest in advanced CNC turning and milling technology, enabling them to machine components from 2mm up to 250mm diameter. With a strong reputation for quality and long-term client relationships, they are now looking to strengthen their turning team. π© The Role They are currently looking for a CNC Setter / Operator to join the CNC turning section. This role would suit either a strong setter/operator or someone with programming experience who wants to take ownership of jobs from setup through to production. π Key Responsibilities * Setting and operating CNC turning machines to produce precision components * Adjusting tooling, offsets and programs to maintain quality and efficiency * Producing small to medium batch components to tight tolerances * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings * Carrying out in-process inspection using standard measuring equipment * Troubleshooting machining issues and improving cycle times where possible * Maintaining machines and ensuring a clean, safe working environment * Working closely with the production team to meet delivery targets β What We're Looking For * Previous experience setting and operating CNC turning centres * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and tolerances * Strong attention to detail and quality standards * Experience machining materials such as stainless steel and aluminium * Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently β Desirable (But Not Essential) * Experience with Fanuc or Siemens controlled machines * Experience with mill-turn or sliding head machines * Knowledge of offline programming software (e.g. OneCNC) * Engineering apprenticeship or formal machining training πΌ Whatβs On Offer * Competitive hourly rate * Overtime available * Modern, clean working environment * Stable long-term position within a growing precision engineering business * Opportunity to develop into programming roles
