Job Role – CNC Setter Operator The CNC Setter Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating a CNC lathe to produce precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Duties – CNC Setter Operator • Manufacture products and work with engineering to provide input to new developments and legacy products. • Work within a small, multi-disciplined team, operating and maintaining the equipment with focus on operating CNC Mills and lathes. • From time-to-time work on Milling machines as required • Interpret engineering drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of the finished work piece. • Be able to sequence operations, tooling, programming and setup requirements to manufacture components efficiently. • Liaise with Quality on non-conformance & suggest resolution activities. • Maintain batch traceability on raw material delivered and usage on Shop Orders. • Ability to recognize, solve & implement required changes for machining related problems. • Work in co-operation with Manufacturing team to ensure product meets the agreed standard. • Ensure that production documentation is kept up-to-date and accurate. Experience/Qualifications – CNC Setter Operator • CNC Lathe and Milling Machine Setting & Operating • Familiar with speeds and feeds for Aluminium and Stainless Steel • Understanding of programming languages FANUC, ProtoTRAK, G-Code Candidates who are currently an CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, CNC Operator, Machinist, Miller, Turner and CMM Inspector could be suitable for this role.
