CNC Setter Operator – Milling The role To program, set and manufacture small-batch aerospace components. What we are looking for * Previous CNC Milling experience * Ability to read engineering drawings, set CNC Milling machines and use measuring equipment * Experience in the aerospace industry is desirable * Experience using Metric and Imperial * Computer literate * Be a team player and have a strong work ethic Your responsibilities * Setting/operating and manufacturing a variety of small-batch components from engineering drawings to within tight limits * Manufacturing all components within the agreed timescales * Setting a variety of CNC machine tools for operators as and when required * Using a wide range of measuring equipment to check small-batch components after manufacture * Mentoring new staff as required * Maintaining the agreed quality rating at all times * Making sure that manufactured product is suitably protected for transit * Working in the order of the manufacturing plan at all times * Ensuring that all manufacturing paperwork is filled out correctly What’s in it for you * Health Care Cash Plan* * Contributory Pension Scheme for eligible employees * Employee Assistance Programme* * 24 days holiday (in addition to UK Bank and public holidays) * Life Assurance * Company Sick Pay Scheme* * Free access to a local gym * Free car parking * Flexible Working * Sports & Social Club * Onsite Café facilities at New Facility Job type: Permanent Location: Southend Salary: Up to £17.72 per hour (Dependent on experience) Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 to 17:00, Fridays 8:00 to 13:00
