Lates Starting Salary: £33,928 (£28,274 + 20% shift allowance) Uplifted Salary (once AO stamp obtained): £34,934 (£29,112 + 20% shift allowance) Hours: 14:15-22:30 (Mon-Thu) / 12:00-18:00 (Fri) Key Responsibilities: Setting and operating a variety of multi-axis CNC machines to local instructions Loading and unloading of NC machines using a variety of lifting systems Performing and recording SPC data to support continuous improvement activities Delivering tooling to manufacturing stations using a variety of forklift systems Monitoring and verifying NC cycles to customer drawing requirements Operation and fault finding of the automated building management systems Performing preventative maintenance of equipment Supporting pre and post trim stages in the composite value stream Requirements NVQ Level 3, equivalent or working towards equivalent qualification Proven experience of setting and operating multi axis CNC machines; however, training will be provided specific to the machining of composites and the control systems used on the machines A good knowledge of tool setting. Must be able check their own work using standard dimensional checking equipment Good level of dexterity Competent in numeracy and literacy, computer use and able to read and understand technical documentation Good knowledge of health and safety Good communication skills Drive to succeed as an individual and as part of a team Positive approach to problem solving Participating in training programmes and procedures Willing to learn and adapt with a strong focus on flexibility Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude Excellent time keepingDesirable Previous composite experience
