Due to continued and stable growth, our client in the Chesterfield area is looking for a CNC Programmer to join their team. This is a permanent position! Job Description: Ensure that all production documentation (e.g. drawings, machine programmes) are available for use. Ensure that machine programmes are developed, maintained and ready for use by utilising external providers as required. Ensure that drawings are developed and ready for use by utilising external providers as required. Ensure that machines run efficiently, minimising cycle times and tooling costs. Provide estimated production times and costs to ensure quotations can be submitted to customers in a timely manner. Contract review of customer purchase orders in conjunction with the planner and purchaser Utilise existing knowledge of programming to assist and support when explaining codes written within programmes to the machine operator. The Candidate: The ideal candidate would have experience in machine programming in an engineering/manufacturing industry. They would be well versed in interpreting engineering drawings and be able to extend this knowledge to mentor and instruct machinists. The candidate would display a proactive nature and a desire to drive the business forward. Previous experience working to within Microns! Ability to program and set CNC Machines Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good problem-solving skills and judgement. Ability to interpret engineering drawings with a high degree of accuracy. The Position: Monday to Friday 8am – 4:30pm. Permanent position!
