Alexander Lyons Solutions are currently seeking a CNC Miller to join our Surrey based client on a permanent basis. The right candidate should possess prior experience in setting and operating milling machines in a production environment. We are also open to considering someone with lesser experience, but who is willing to learn and has the right attitude; we will provide the necessary training. While it would be beneficial to have EdgeCAM experience, it is not a mandatory requirement. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about learning programming and willing to contribute to our team's growth. Role will include; * Programming, setting and running a DMG Mori CMX 1100V (2019) * Adjusting existing CNC programs to ensure accuracy and optimise efficiency * Programming of new jobs on and offline * Maintaining a level of self-inspection throughout a batch * Machining parts to tight tolerances with precision and accuracy * Working effectively as part of a team to achieve production goals and maintain a smooth workflow * Assisting the production staff in any other tasks that may be required to maintain production efficiency It is also essential that the applicant is happy to work on different machines depending on where they are required. What we are looking for: * Hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines or someone who has lesser experience but is eager to learn. * Understanding of machining principles, CNC machining techniques, and tool selection * Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve machining issues. * Keen attention to detail and accuracy to produce high-quality components meeting tight tolerances. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals. * Must be able to lift and move heavy objects, including raw materials and machined components. * Enthusiasm and willingness to learn, take initiatives and grow. * Be open to new challenges and willing to take on additional responsibilities. What we offer * Competitive rate of pay; depending on experience. * Opportunities for overtime; our standard work week is 39 hours; overtime rate is 1.5x. * The normal working hours are divided into two slots (staff can choose either): * 08:00 am – 17:00 pm Monday to Thursday & 08:00 am – 13:00 pm Friday * 07:30 am – 16:30 pm Monday to Thursday & 07:30 am – 12:30 pm Friday * Starting 22 days holiday with an extra day each year to a maximum of 25 days, plus Bank Holidays. * We offer company’s Sick Pay Scheme. * Attendance bonus; 10 hours @ basic rate if no unauthorised absence is taken in every 3 months. * Strong growth potential; we are a fast-growing company, and we would like you to grow with us. * Collaborative and supportive work environment * We offer both in-house and external training opportunities to help the right candidate gain the necessary experience to advance their career
