CNC Miller (Late Shift)   Permanent position Competitive Salary + Great holiday allowance and other benefits Late Shift Monday – 3pm-1am Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday – 3pm-12:30am 36.5 hours per week Derby   Our client is a global, leading precision component manufacturer primarily operating in the Aerospace sector. They manufacture precision engineered parts and are looking for an experienced CNC Miller to join their growing organization. The ideal candidate will have strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines (at least 3 Axis) and will possess a ‘can do’ attitude. Previous experience working within the aerospace industry and exposure to Heidenhain controls would be perfect, although this isn’t essential.   CNC Miller Job Specification Set and operate CNC Milling machines Read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures. Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures Use of all measuring equipment as defined within Inspection Plans to check conformance to requirements.  CNC Miller Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications Strong experience setting and operating CNC milling machines (at least 3 Axis) Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation Capable of reading and interpreting engineering drawings Possess a ‘can do’ attitude  CNC Miller Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications Experience working within the Aerospace industry Apprentice trained/time served (experience is more important) Exposure to Heidenhain controls Experience working with nickel alloy and/or titanium Some CNC turning experience Programming experience – not essential If you wish to be considered for this position please Apply Now! or email (url removed)
