CNC Miller Opportunity / Motorsport / Contract / Oxford / Inside IR35 Location – Wantage, Oxfordshire Salary - £30 - £32 PH (PAYE) Title – CNC Miller Length – Minimum of a 6-month contract Shift – Monday – Thursday (*Night Shift*) Status – Inside IR35 About TXM Recruit are looking to acquire a skilled CNC Miller who ideally has experience working in the fast-paced engineering sector. The successful candidate will be passionate about developing a career in the Formula 1 sector, having extensive experience operating with precision components and operating to tight tolerances. This is an enticing and growth fulfilling opportunity which has just arisen within a leading Formula 1 Team. This organisation is one of the longest lasting teams on the grid and run multi axis CNC Precision machines. They specialise in the manufacturing of milled and turned components from a wide variety of materials (Inconel, Aluminium, Titanium etc.) Skills * A minimum of 3+ years’ experience with 3 axis CNC Milling * Experience operating Siemens machine * 5+ years’ experience with setting and operating Key Responsibilities * Producing key parts in the most efficient, cost-effective way, maintaining tight delivery deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of work. * Written and verbal communication skills are important attributes ensuring accurate information is given across shifts, the department and other key stake holders. * You will ensure that all shop floor documentation is completed as required along with accurate bookings onto our Shop Floor Data Collection software recording machine utilisation and productivity. * Good level of knowledge manufacturing metallic and non-metallic components from aircraft grade metallics and high-quality engineering plastics. * A strong knowledge of setting and operating Fanuc/Siemens controlled machining centres preferable but not essential. * The ability to program manually and/or conversationally (Fanuc and Siemens) would be advantageous. * The need to run multiple machines and plan-ahead is regularly required. * Ideally possess a recognised apprenticeship or have gained relevant experience in a precision engineering environment. * Be able to demonstrate a good depth of machining knowledge both CNC and Manual in a low volume, high accuracy, fast paced prototype environment. * A high degree of flexibility, self-motivation, team ethic and initiative are critical for success in this role. * A strong work ethic and a positive approach to continuous improvement * A willingness to work extended hours on occasion.
