CNC Machinist Location: Portbury, North Somerset Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, 4pm-1am Pay Rate: £13 p/h PAYE, £15.08 p/h Umbrella Employment Type: Ongoing work Igloo is seeking CNC Operatives to work with our client in Portbury! Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry with operations across the UK. Join their established team as a CNC Machinist. Responsibilities: * Operate and maintain machines to meet daily production targets and ensure high-quality output. * Perform general maintenance and safety checks as per guidelines, reporting any faults immediately. * Monitor and manage machine consumables, informing the workshop manager of needed replacements. * Ensure parts produced are accurate and of high quality. * Keep the work area clean and organised, regularly emptying waste material. * Assist in promoting continuous improvement and comply with Health & Safety regulations. * Maintain good housekeeping and high standards of conduct, appearance, and behaviour. * Communicate effectively with team members and participate in company stock takes when necessary. In addition to the above duties and responsibilities, the job holder is required to perform any other duty requested by Management from time to time. What kind of person are we looking for? * Valid UK driving licence. * IT literate and fluent in English. * Able to follow detailed instructions. * Experience with CNC and use of power and hand tools. * Great communicator, fast-paced, and self-motivated. * Enthusiastic, approachable, and of good character. * Hardworking with good time-keeping and housekeeping standards. * Forklift truck and Health & Safety experience preferred.
