Due to their continued growth and high demand for their bespoke products, Big Red are working closely with the business to recruit a CNC Machinist into the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control 3, 3 axis (CNC) machines to produce precision components and bespoke products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machining principles, be proficient in reading technical drawings, and possess excellent problem-solving skills to ensure quality production. Responsibilities: * Use CADCAM to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to understand machining requirements. * Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and programming machine controls. * Operate CNC machines to perform machining tasks such as milling, turning, drilling, and grinding. * Monitor machine operations to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as necessary. * Inspect finished work(s) using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications. * Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform routine maintenance to keep machines in optimal condition. * Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment Requirements: * Proven experience as a CNC machinist or similar role, with a strong understanding of machining principles and techniques. * Proficiency in reading technical drawings and blueprints. * Hands-on experience with CNC programming and operation of machining centres (milling, turning, etc.). * Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. * Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment. * Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing production schedules.
