Job Title: CNC Machinist Location: Wolverhampton Salary: £38,900 Contract: Permanent Our client is seeking a CNC machinist to join the team at their facility based in Wolverhampton. Machinist will work to exceptionally close tolerance, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry. This position will require the successful candidate to work on a night shift basis. Key Responsibilities – CNC Machinist. CNC machining experience utilising Fanuc / Siemens / Heidenhain controls, able to set and run multiple machine / processes. Experience of the setting and operating CNC Milling machines, preferably Matsuura and DMG Experienced in setting 5Axis machines. Setting the tools when required to complete the tasks. Experience in using Pre-setters i.e., Zoller. Experience of using all type of measuring equipment i.e., CMM, Height Gauges Capability of machining exotic and hardened materials Carry out 1st off inspection on component parts. Working to extremely tight tolerances. Maintaining the machines TPM Key Experience & Requirements – CNC Machinist Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent. Willing to work Shift Pattern and Night shift. Previous experience of an engineering or manufacturing role ideally within aerospace industry. Good knowledge of machining techniques & appropriate tooling. Proven skills within a multi-axis machining environment. Programming Experience – Preferred Attention to detail & accuracy, and process improvement techniques. Using the relevant inspection techniques / equipment to achieve drawing tolerance.
