Our Client: Part of a wider group that comprehensively service the Aerospace market with high-precision components, our client offer a comprehensive subcontract CNC machining service for complex components used within advanced markets, such as Aerospace, Motorsport, Medical & OEM sectors. With Sustained investment in their capabilities and personnel, they offer palletised CNC machining, as well as high speed milling, turning and quality inspection. They don't only manufacture metallic components, as they also have a complementary and dedicated composites and plastics machining cell. An allocated mechanical component assembly facility is in place, helping further improve lead times. They are a well-established company with over 50 years background and experience of providing a Precision Manufacturing Service to the Aerospace & most major industrial sectors, and do so with a dedicated approach focused on quality, but never forgetting the passion or fun of the craft. Your Role: You will be required to perform setting and operating duties in the CNC Turning section machining components from a range of materials. The machine controls are mostly either Mazak or Fanuc. Your responsibilities will include: Setting and operating CNC Turning centres. Occasional editing of programmes. Use of conversational systems like Mazatrol and Hurco (training available). Ensuring that programmes are working effectively. Observing the Company's health and safety rules. General duties as required conducive to efficient running of the section.The ideal candidate will have: CNC setting and operating experience - 2 - Axis Turning Centres. Knowledge of CNC programs Accomplished setting and proving skills. Able to understand engineering drawings. Good knowledge of materials, speeds, feeds cutters etc. Able to use measuring instruments - micrometers, verniers etc. Able to work to a high degree of complexity and accuracy. Ability to prioritise.
