As a Class 2 HGV Driver at Cook Fabrications, you’ll be a key member of our logistics team, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of structural steel components to construction sites across Kent, Sussex, and London. This is a full-time permanent role, with varied start and finish times depending on delivery destinations. Some weekend working may be required. About the Role: We are seeking a reliable and skilled driver to operate our 18 Tonne Rigid Flat Bed Lorry with a mounted HiAb crane. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining our excellent reputation for delivering high-quality products on time and in perfect condition. Key Responsibilities: * Operate an 18T rigid flat-bed lorry with HiAb crane (training can be provided) * Load, transport, and unload fabricated steelwork to designated sites; including lifitng structrual steel into postion with lorry mounted HiAb. * Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and ensure vehicle is maintained in good condition * Liaise with site teams and ensure professional delivery and customer service * Comply with UK driving laws, company procedures, and health & safety regulations Requirements: * Valid Class C (Class 2) HGV licence * Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card * HiAb/Crane certificate desirable (training can be provided if needed) * Previous experience in structural steelwork delivery is preferred but not essential * Strong work ethic, punctuality, and excellent communication skills * Willingness to work occasional weekends Benefits: * Competitive hourly rate: £14.00 – £19.00 depending on experience * Full HiAb training provided if required * Permanent position with a long-standing, reputable company * Opportunity to develop knowledge of structural steelwork * Supportive and friendly working environment How to Apply: If you’re interested in this opportunity, please send your CV and a covering letter to the email below.
