My client, a large transport company with a sizable depot in the Consett area are looking to recruit skilled Chargehand on a full time basis.   Chargehand Duties: Coordinating the maintenance and service our fleet of vehicles to both the Company’s and the Department of Transport’s exacting Supervising a team of engineering staff Ensuring documents are upto date and in good order. Ensuring Company health & safety policies and procedures are followed.Chargehand Skills Required: Applicants should have a proven track record of supervisory management and staff motivation and a customer-caring attitude to problem solving. Given the wide range of the role you must be able to demonstrate excellent prioritising skills, as well as decision making and organisational abilities. Ideally you will hold a relevant professional qualification, although consideration will be given to skilled vehicle technicians. A flexible approach to working times and shift patterns is required to reflect the varying needs of this challenging role.
