We are currently recruiting for an ULD Specialist in the Cargo Operations at Heathrow. This is a full-time permanent role and an exciting opportunity to join the exciting world of Cargo operations in aviation. Whats on offer? £33,000pa 0900 to 1730 Monday to Saturday week one & Tuesday to Friday week two Preferred Experience 2 to 4 years' experience in Load control / ULD Management Willing to show initiative Remain calm under pressure Customer Orientation Understanding of SQL/VBA Very good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Airport or Air Cargo experience Roles and responsibilities Maintain and control the availability of ULD stock for both Cargo and Passenger Operations worldwide though collaborative working with the Revenue optimisation, Operations and Load Planning teams, through empty movement requests and use of competitor capacity.  Manage airside and cargo stocks at LHR, through equipment transportation by GHAs. Agree and influence station upper and lower budgets with Cargo Operations Managers; ensuring passenger operation taken into account. Allocate and publish the configuration of equipment to be used on each flight departure, based on aircraft type, passenger number, cargo product and best cargo build.  Constantly improve cargo revenue uplifts through historical analysis of baggage flows to/from all stations. Maintain and improve allocation publisher, forecasting tools, agent release tools - or any other tools relating to ULD Control. Take responsibility for efficient utilisation of Offshore Team and on time / accuracy performance by monitoring KPIs provided.  Challenge Offshore team by providing ongoing feedback ensuring that the processes are understood. Model best practice in process mapping to maximise performance of offshore team.  Ensure continuous improvement, revision and update of all processes and documentation Provide robust process documentation of all tasks carried ULD Control, to ensure business continuity and contingency. Maintain and recommend best practice for equipment released to Cargo Agents. Track and maintain ULD assets and asset data through use of the offshore team, automated messaging and engaging with stakeholders.  Monitor ingestion of messages to ULD Management system; fix and improve with Airport, Cargo and Load Planning teams, for optimisation of messaging. Analyse data on damaged equipment to ensure turnaround times are met by repair agents and to hold Cargo Agents and GHAs accountable for the profile of damage while equipment is in their care.  Quality check repair agent work and report back to management on any failings Investigate / Invoice damage to ULDs sustained by customers and GHAs. Keep track of all incidents to help spot trends and change in behaviour
