Calibration Engineer - Exciting Opportunity in Ramsgate, Kent Join a global leader in electronic instruments and electromechanical devices, specializing in aircraft components across various systems. Responsible for ensuring all measuring instruments and testing devices are calibrated in accordance with Manufacturers' specifications/Requirements standards, ensuring any items that do not meet the specific working requirements are quarantined and removed from service for either repair or replacement. To undertake the following calibration tasks * Pressure. * Flow. * Ph, and Conductivity. * Weight. * Handheld measuring equipment. * Voltage & Current (AC/DC) * PAT Testing. Responsible for the following Calibrated Equipment * Pressure Gauges/Transmitters. * Bore Mic’s/Micrometers. * Depth Gauges. * Laboratory Micro Balances. * Temperature Probes/Thermal Couples. * Flow Meters (Electronic Turbine / Rotameter). * Ensure all Health and Safety/Safe Working Practices are always adhered to. * Identify opportunities for improvement that will benefit in terms of performance, safety, and efficiency and provide a cost-benefit. * Accurately record and document calibration activities using the Sharepoint database. * Escalate any faults including estimated time of recovery and to provide regular progress updates to the relevant manager/managers. * Participate in the creation of standard working documents, local instructions etc. * Work with suppliers for onsite calibration to plant and equipment. * Ordering and replenishment of spare parts and components to complete calibration repairs. Experience & Qualifications We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, including: * Proven relevant engineering experience. * An understanding of the technical processes and tools associated with calibrating, scientific knowledge. * Proven ability to fault find on electrical and mechanical equipment * Excellent problem-solving experience * Engineering HNC/HND Electrical qualification or equivalent * Instrumentation and Process Control (essential) * Excellent analytical, fault finding and problem-solving skills.
