About this position: We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a CAE Engineer to join a world leading automotive company who are always striving to ensure their products are one of the best in the world. You will be responsible for carrying out analysis in support of the development of this clients' projects. This will involve carrying out simulation such as FEA and CFD on both chassis and powertrain components/ systems. Responsibilities: * Construct simulation models (FEA, CFD etc.) using various software to support and optimize new and existing projects * Develop analysis methodology and ensure it is kept fully up to date and documented in the appropriate procedure(s) * Ensure a consistent approach is taken to simulation modelling through close co-ordination within the simulation team and across all the vehicle teams * Continuous improvement to advance design procedures, best practice and efficiency improvements * Generate procedures, technical reports, specifications and drawings etc Experience Required: * Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent * Proficient in Microsoft Packages including Excel, Word and Outlook * Excellent computer and analytical skills * Experience in FEA simulation and stress/fatigue analysis
