Senior Technical Buyer – Automotive | Low-Volume | Bespoke Builds Location: Warwickshire (Hybrid / On-site as required) Type: Full-time | Permanent Are you a strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset and a passion for bespoke, design-led automotive projects? We’re looking for a Senior Technical Buyer to support a highly specialised team delivering premium show cars, concept vehicles, and low-volume production programmes. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two builds are the same — managing the full procurement process from concept through to delivery, ensuring every part, material, and service meets demanding quality, design, and lead-time requirements. What You’ll Be Doing: * Lead end-to-end purchasing activities across limited-run automotive projects. * Communicate confidently between suppliers, engineering, design, and operations to ensure alignment on technical and creative requirements. * Identify and manage a niche supplier base capable of delivering custom, time-sensitive components. * Work closely with Programme Managers to build and maintain delivery schedules and ensure procurement supports project milestones. * Maintain real-time cost data and BOMs to support budgeting and quoting processes. * Drive improvements across cost, lead times, and quality without compromising on design intent or build excellence. * Act as the key purchasing contact across multi-disciplinary project teams. * Ensure all documentation, standards, and compliance requirements are met throughout the process. What We’re Looking For: * Background in automotive, motorsport, or concept vehicle environments. * Experience with short-run or one-off part procurement, including CNC, 3D printing, and custom interiors. * Familiarity with NPI processes and supply chain optimisation in low-volume, premium manufacturing. * Comfortable sourcing materials for CMF (Colour, Material, Finish) and boutique craftsmanship. * Exceptional communication and decision-making skills, with a proactive and detail-focused approach.
