Air Personnel are delighted to support their client who is looking for a B1.3 Licence engineer with AW189 type ratings for a permanent role in the Falklands Our client provides helicopter support and Search & Rescue to a number of sites across the world including the UK and Falkland Islands. They are currently seeking an individual to join our Engineer Department as a AW189 B1.3 Licensed Engineer, at our site at Mount Pleasant, on the Falkland Islands, in the South Atlantic. To help us achieve our goals, we are looking for an individual who can appropriately manage their own workload, you will need to be organised, flexible and happy to work in a fast-moving and demanding environment, where the priorities can change at short notice and deadlines are often tight. Working on both line and base maintenance, you will need to be able to demonstrate competence in fault finding, scheduled maintenance and installation of modifications, including the use of hand tools and specialised test equipment. Ideal candidates will have the ability to work with minimum supervision. You must also be an effective team player, capable of working as part of a small, dedicated team of engineers and be able to interact well with your colleagues and the wider business. Organising your workload within the limits set and taking responsibility for your own work is also essential. A Type Rating on the AW189 is essential for this position. The role will be based on a rotational pattern of 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off; working 6 days per week, during 6 weeks on dependent upon operational requirements. This position is based in the Falkland Islands, the successful candidate will need to comply with Falkland Islands Immigration policy and obtain a relevant work permit if not a Falklands Islands resident. This is an excellent opportunity to join our client but also the Falklands has strict quarantine rules and currently they have only had 29 cases of Covid on the island all of which have recovered, it is currently Covid free.
