Location: Highbridge Start Date: Immediate Hours: Monday–Friday Rate: £16–£20 per hour About the Role Driver Hire Bridgwater is seeking a qualified Automotive Technician (Level 1 or 2) to join our client’s Highbridge facility, focusing on precision recall repairs and camper-van support. In this key role, you’ll ensure every vehicle leaves the workshop fully compliant with manufacturer safety standards. Key Responsibilities * Recall Campaign Execution: Accurately diagnose, order parts for, and carry out all manufacturer-mandated recall repairs, ensuring documentation. * Quality & Safety Assurance: Perform rigorous post-repair inspections and road-tests to verify that all recall work adheres to technical bulletins and safety protocols. * Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed service logs, complete electronic job cards, and communicate status updates to the client’s fleet manager. Your Profile * Qualifications: City & Guilds Level 1 or Level 2 (or equivalent). * Experience: Hands-on background in light commercial or camper-van vehicle work, with a strong emphasis on safety-critical repairs. * Attention to Detail: Meticulous in following technical procedures, torque settings, and diagnostic protocols. * Communication: Clear, professional liaison with workshop team and client stakeholders; precise reporting of completed works. * Driver: Full, clean UK driving licence.
