Auto Electrician (Qualified) * Salary: £16.35 to £18.39 per hour (£38,200+ p/a starting salary) * Location: Preston, Lancashire NW Recruitment Services Ltd are supporting a well-established automotive specialist with the recruitment of an Auto Electrician for their Preston site. The role will suit someone with strong practical experience, good technical understanding, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Main responsibilities: * Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of vehicle electrical systems and associated equipment. * Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs using sound electrical knowledge. * Work from technical information, wiring details, and diagrams where required. * Carry out inspections and testing to support quality and safety standards. * Support other team members to ensure work is completed on time. What we are looking for: * Experience working with auto electrical systems and wiring. * A strong practical background, with the ability to use hand tools and power tools confidently. * Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills. * High attention to detail and a methodical approach. * Able to communicate well and work as part of a team. This role may suit a qualified Auto Electrician or someone with relevant semi-skilled experience looking to develop further within a specialist business. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical work on a range of vehicles and related equipment, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This position commences on a 12-week temp to perm basis (acting as the probation period for the client). There is a permanent role after 12 weeks based on successful candidate performance, suitability, and attendance with the first 12 weeks.
