Assembly Technician Location: Atworth, Wiltshire Salary: £31,000 - £36,000 + Bonus Opportunities. OTE £42,000 Hours: 45 hours per week Shift: Monday–Thursday 07:00–17:00, Friday 07:00–14:30 We’re working with a well-established vehicle body manufacturing company based in Wiltshire, currently looking to add an experienced Assembly Technician to their team. What you’ll be doing day to day: Working independently and using your initiative to meet build timelines and standards Reading and working from engineering drawings and work orders Installing insulated panels on commercial freezer bodies Electrically terminating lighting, switches, and tail lifts Sealing joints, floors, and roofs with silicone and gel coatings Cutting metals, wood, and plastics using bench equipment and hand tools Using saws, measurement tools, and hand-held equipment safely and correctly Maintaining a tidy, organised work environment and following all health and safety proceduresWhat you’ll need to succeed: Previous hands-on experience in mechanical or vehicle-based assembly work Comfortable working with tools and workshop machinery Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Good understanding of health & safety in a workshop environment Able to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transport due to site locationWhat you’ll get in return: Up to £15.60 per hour + bonus 20 days holiday + bank holidays (rising to 30 with time served) Death-in-service cover Enhanced maternity and paternity pay Branded uniform provided Employee discounts (Perkbox) across major retailers, restaurants, and entertainment Access to wellbeing support including 24/7 online GP and healthcare cover Pension schemeDon’t meet every single requirement?
