Marshall has an opening for an experienced Assembly Fitter within our Aerospace business unit. You will be experienced of fitting machined parts, sheet metal brackets and bought out parts to exacting quality standards, Use of Aircraft fasteners such as squeeze rivets, Hi Locs, Anchor nuts and torque tightened bolts and nuts, precision application of sealant to prevent liquid ingress and egress, this work is carried out both internally and externally on the assembled components, Recording of materials used and time taken on any required documentation, problem solving, job booking, Health & Safety, 5S activities, Working to internal processes and procedures. To support the Production Managers and Team Leaders, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standard. Ensure all tasks are carried out within the allocated time. To understand and work to Marshall configuration control processes. To ensure Marshall production processes and procedures are maintained. To follow and work in line with Marshall Health and Safety management systems. Take an active role in continuous improvements, to include lean and 5s procedures. Ensure a clean compliant work area is maintained at all times. Ensure equipment and tooling required is identified to the line manager. Attend and support production meetings if required. Completion of daily timesheets. Qualifications Completed a City and Guilds Apprenticeship or equivalent, Mechanical Fitting or a Manufacturing and Assembly Qualification. O' Level standard or GCSE Grades A to C, City and Guilds Apprenticeship, Understanding and experience in Assembly processes and techniques. Competent skills gained through training and experience and ability to communicate within team. Understanding of policies and procedures required within a workshop environment Understanding of Production methods and processes. Competent understanding and ability to read engineering drawings and associated design data. Understand planning methods and skills. Good written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of Appraisals/PDR's
