We are looking for an Apprentice Parts Advisor to join our team in Leicester. We are seeking eager, enthusiastic people with a thirst for knowledge and the desire to learn and develop their skills within our dealership. This would be an ideal role for someone who is just leaving school or college and wants to start their career journey. As an apprentice at Ford & Slater you will be fully supported with all of the training you require to work in all areas of our parts department. You will spend 2 years training alongside an experienced mentor at the Leicester dealership as well as attending DAF College on a 3 day block, 6 times a year. Accommodation and travel will be provided for this. At the end of the apprenticeship, you will have earned a Level 3 standard in Customer Service and will be employed by us as a qualified Parts Sales Advisor with the opportunity to progress in a variety of areas within the business. Roles and Responsibilities: * Monitoring and solving customer problems/enquiries and processing customer’s orders * Safe storage of parts * Identifying, sourcing, and ordering parts * Handling, storing, and receiving stock * Processing payments * Following company procedures Key Skills and Experience: * GCSE or equivalent in English Language and Maths (Grace C/4 or above) * Enthusiastic * Strong communication skills * Good time management and attention to detail * Organisation skills * Able to work under instruction and as part of a team * Experience in a customer facing role is desirable but not essential. Monday - Friday approx.. 9am-5pm (40 hours) with the possibility of occasional weekend working.
