Support operational aircraft maintenance at RAF Valley Shift Pattern Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday, 06:00–13:45 Key Responsibilities Undertake and supervise aircraft depth maintenance and diagnostic activities Carry out inspections, repairs, modifications, and system testing Analyse and diagnose faults on aircraft systems and components Support maintenance delivery against operational and programme requirements Provide technical leadership and support to maintenance technicians Promote best practice and a proactive maintenance culture within the team Carry out compliance-related support activities including tooling control and oversight checks Ensure all maintenance activities comply with approved procedures and MOE requirements Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and regulatory compliance Essential Skills & Experience Previous supervisory or leadership experience within an aircraft maintenance environment Fully qualified technician with relevant maintenance authorities and certifications Strong aircraft maintenance and fault diagnostic capability Broad aviation maintenance experience supported by current and recent logbook evidence Strong understanding of aviation safety standards and safe systems of work Ability to work effectively within a safety-critical operational environment Strong communication and team leadership skills Eligible to obtain and maintain BPSS and SC Security Clearance Qualifications Completion of a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ideally Aeronautical Engineering or military equivalent City & Guilds 2675 Aeronautical Engineering & Maintenance or NVQ Level 3 in an Aeronautical discipline Aircraft platform training relevant to the fleet Trade Principles training and strong IT competency Working Environment Located on the Isle of Anglesey, RAF Valley offers the opportunity to work in a unique coastal setting while supporting one of the UK's most important military aviation programmes.Military aviation and aircraft depth maintenance environment Structured engineering team supporting operational aircraft maintenance activities Excellent opportunity to develop supervisory and technical leadership experience within a highly respected aviation programme Ready for Your Next Step?
