Aircraft Mechanical Fitter The Aircraft Mechanical Fitter plays a key role in supporting the movement, Line, and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet. This is a non-certifying role. Key Responsibilities: Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations. Perform maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by the designated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer. Maintain high standards to ensure the continued safe operation of the aircraft. Complete maintenance tasks, including work on airframe structure, power plant, and mechanical and electrical systems, following written instructions provided by the OEM. Carry out mechanical, power plant, component, and composite technical work in workshops as required. Assist with the day-to-day running of the aircraft hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping duties.Required Knowledge and Skills: Essential: Strong understanding of engine and airframe systems. Familiarity with specialized test equipment related to engine and airframe systems. Up-to-date knowledge in the following areas: Flight/Airport Operations Aircraft Line Maintenance Aircraft Base MaintenanceDesirable: Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS.
