Market 36 Recruitment is currently seeking at least one experienced Aircraft Fitter / Structural Technician (SMW) for a long-term contract role with our client, a leading aerospace service provider based in Saffron Walden. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex structural repairs and component installations on aircraft components such as Flight Control Surfaces, Engine Inlets, Fan Cowls, Thrust Reversers, Landing Gear, and Passenger Doors. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will join the Workshop team, where they will undertake the following tasks: * Fabrication and Installation: Perform fabrication and precise installation of flush repair doublers on Inlet and Flight Control leading-edge skins. * Structural Replacement: Carry out replacement of Inlet Lip skin segments and Flight Control Surface Skin Panels. * Sub-Assembly Tasks: Remove and replace sub-assemblies, including riveted and bolted structures, as needed. * Technical Data Interpretation: Work in compliance with technical manuals and specifications, including SRM (Structural Repair Manuals), CMM (Component Maintenance Manuals), and other relevant documents. Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates must have: * Proven experience as an Aircraft Fitter or Structural Technician, particularly with structural work and repairs on aircraft components. * Competency in working with technical documentation such as SRMs and CMMs. * High level of precision and attention to detail in all structural repair and installation tasks.
