A luxury automotive OEM is looking for an Aerodynamics Engineer to join their team in Gaydon, Warwickshire on a 12 month rolling contract basis. PLEASE NOTE: Sponsorship not available for this role and ability to travel to Germany when required POSITION DESCRIPTION: * Focus on wind tunnel testing with familiarity/experience of CFD a benefit. * Degree in Aero or Mechanical Engineering (with Aero modules / experience) or equivalent experience * Role will require regular trips to wind tunnel facility in Germany (typically fly out Monday, back Friday; occasional extension into weekend). * Activity: Test planning; vehicle proto build support; preparation for aero test (working with company workshops); transport logistics (working with Logistics team); wind tunnel test; instrumentation & data analysis. * Product Design Engineering focuses on designing and developing new or existing products, components, or assemblies including: * Applying engineering principles to develop mechanical, electronic, or chemical products that meet customer technical/functional specifications as well as manufacturing cost/efficiency requirements * Conducting mathematical modelling to determine if proposed designs are technically feasible * Supporting and participating in the design, test, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototypes * May also be involved with designing product specific manufacturing production processes and equipment Level: A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities typically include: * Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. * Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. * Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
