Brief overview of the role:
Are you wanting to start your career in the Automotive industry? Remit are currently recruiting on behalf of ATS Euromaster who are looking for a Light Vehicle Autocare Apprentice to join their talented team!

Working week:
40 hrs (8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Mon to Sat) 5 days working

Vacancy description:
As an Autocare Apprentice, you will carry out a range of services and repairs to cars and light goods vehicles. Throughout the duration of the apprenticeship, you will gain an excellent knowledge of technical, retail and customer service skills.

What will you be doing?

You will work alongside a qualified technician/mentor to learn the following skills and knowledge:
• Inspection, removal and repair of tyres, exhausts, shock absorbers, brakes, filters and batteries.
• Ensure appropriate Digital Vehicle Health Checks (DVHCs) are completed for all vehicles.
• Carrying out vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance on the vehicles
• Delivering a high level of customer service to all your colleagues and customers
• Identifying vehicle problems with diagnostic equipment
• Ensuring high levels of Health and Safety are always met within the workshop.

Requirements and prospects

Qualifications Required:
---Minimum requirements are a 4 grade or equivalent in English Language and Maths.

Desired skills:
• A logical approach to problem-solving
• An enthusiasm to learn new practical and theoretical skills
• Professional telephone manner

Personal Qualities:
You will need to demonstrate a strong passion for the industry and a positive attitude to work and learning.

Training to be provided:
This is an Autocare Technician Apprenticeship programme, delivered by Remit Group.

Awarding Body: Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI)

Training is delivered in the workplace and on block release at the Remit Automotive Academy in Derby. This means you will be required to stay in a hotel for 12 separate weeks (Mon – Fri) over the duration of the programme. All associated costs for training are met by the employer and there will be no cost to you.

You will also be assigned a dedicated Development Coach who will visit you every 4-6 weeks either in the workplace or remotely via Microsoft Teams, giving 1-2-1 advice and guidance to help you achieve the following IMI qualifications:
• Autocare Technician Level 2
• Functional Skills Level 1 in English & Maths (if required)

Future Prospects:
Starting salary is £14,000 per annum for year 1 of the programme (2024/2025). After successful completion of Gateway 1 then the Apprentice salary is increased to our usual Technician salary and inclusion in the bonus scheme commences. Full pay and reward details will be discussed at interview.
We will provide full uniform and PPE as well as continuous development and career discussions.
