ABS Integration Engineer – Crewe/Manchester Job Overview The ABS Integration Engineer is responsible for the integration, testing, and coordination of ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and related chassis control functions within vehicle systems. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ABS hardware and software components, supporting product development and validation activities. Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and integrate ABS functionality with other chassis systems such as EPS (Electric Power Steering), HAL (Hydraulic Assist Level), ESC (Electronic Stability Control), and braking systems. * Develop, execute, and document integration and validation test plans to ensure ABS system performance meets design and safety requirements. * Collaborate with hardware and software engineers, suppliers, and OEMs to resolve integration issues and optimize system functionality. * Analyze system-level data and troubleshoot complex problems related to ABS and chassis control systems. * Support design reviews, provide technical feedback, and ensure compliance with relevant automotive standards and regulations. * Maintain clear and timely communication across multiple teams and stakeholders to coordinate integration activities. * Generate technical documentation, reports, and test results to support project milestones. * Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to vehicle safety and braking systems. Required Skills and Experience * Strong domain knowledge and hands-on experience with ABS and other chassis control functions (EPS, HAL, ESC, braking). * Proven ability to coordinate integration activities across multiple teams and disciplines. * Experience with automotive systems integration, testing, and validation processes. * Good understanding of vehicle dynamics and control systems. * Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Ability to interpret technical documentation, specifications, and system architectures. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners. * Familiarity with software tools used for system testing and data analysis is advantageous. * Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field preferred. Desirable Qualifications * Experience in automotive safety systems development and compliance. * Knowledge of relevant automotive standards (ISO 26262, etc.). * Familiarity with embedded software and hardware integration. * Previous experience working in a vehicle development environment. Working Conditions * Based in Crewe, Cheshire. * Typically office and test facility-based with occasional site visits. * Collaborative team environment with cross-functional interaction.
