If you join a program, you'll sign a contract with your employer and learn specific skills during your apprenticeship. This includes a combination of on-the-job training and work experience, and formal, classroom-based learning. Programs last from one to three years and at the end of your apprenticeship you'll have a formal qualification and the skills needed to work in your chosen field.
