Design Engineer - 6 Month Contract - West Midlands

I am looking for an experienced design engineer for a 6 month contract for my prestigious automotive company based in the West Midlands.

The client themselves are an automotive supplier specialising in engine development and design.

The day to day responsibilities are;

*Transmission concept studies

*Component packaging studies to define constraints within existing and new powertrain

*System design and 2 drawings from prototype to production.

The Technical Publications Director will assist the Vice President of Customer Support with long-term strategy development and deployment, including global standardisation of the technical publications process. The Technical Publications Director will also be responsible for all product support data deliverables during the new programme development phase and for all in-service technical data requirements.

My client, a Major Automotive Manufacturer, are looking for Launch Engineers and Dimensional Engineers to join their teams in the West Midlands.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

This vacancy is for a Project Engineer who will support the Powertrain Facility Projects and Business team with design, specification and delivery of major capital facility projects (£100m+) for Powertrain Test Operations, enabling the provision and operation of testing facilities and equipment to build, develop and sign off powertrain components and systems. Testing disciplines include: Engine Test, Chassis Dynamometer Emissions Test, Powertrain Test, Component Test and Virtual Test plus supporting facility (workshops / unit build areas).

Job Title: CAE Analyst

Type: Contract - 12 months (with strong possibility of further 6-12 month ext.)

Location: West Midlands

Hourly Rate: £25-£30 per hour (dependent on experience)

Overview

Experienced contract CAE Analyst urgently required to join a new Advanced Propulsion Centre funded program, to develop a new hybrid transmission specification, from concept to series production equivalent design release.
