We are looking for a Vehicle Maintenance Fitter - It is to work full time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 3 month initial contract and a chance of extension from there. Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Undertake repairs, service and maintenance to vehicles, plant, machinery and equipment. 2. Undertake repairs to vehicles prior to M.O.T testing and Plating. 3. Diagnose and undertake electrical repairs. 4. Undertake gas, electric and M I G welding and have a general knowledge of fabrication techniques. 5. Undertake repair and maintenance of hydraulic equipment and electrical control systems on a wide range of specialist vehicles. 6. Undertake minor accident repair damage. 7. Undertake inspection of Hackney Carriage and private vehicles to M.O.T. standards. 8. Carry out any other duties that are within the scope and grading of the post which could also be requested by the line manager or Head of Service
