If you have worked as a Hire Controller, Hire Manager or service coordinator in plant/fleet/rental or hire and  managed drivers then we would love to hear from you.  The Company- Transport Supervisor - with responsibility for plant  Working for a leading hire company who supply specialist plant hire equipment to the construction hire industry. The Role of Transport Supervisor: Ensure all transport movements of plant or tools are undertaken within the region and nationally are executed in an efficient manner. Most of your working week will involve covering transport / logistics for all the depots within the business. You will be working within compliance, health & safety is foremost ensuring all of the drivers are working within company and legal guidelines. You will be progressing the hires from your internal team, planning the routes/collections and  contacting your drivers via phone/PDA/ custom built app  You will review performance and carry out KPI's and driver audits using telematics data, preventing accidents & investigating infringements, advisories & training gaps. Liaising with yard, workshop, operator and fleet management departments to ensure all the depot targets are achieved regarding transport. Daily download of tachos and debriefs Candidate: As the Transport Supervisor you will be a well organised individual working closely alongside your team members and Director Knowledge of plant hire, operated plant & the transport industry and legislation is preferred for this role You may hold a Transport Manager CPC. You may have been a plant manager, regional transport controller, transport coordinator, transport administrator, transport planner or an existing Transport Supervisor.  Manage the Co-ordination of transport, staff & drivers locally and nationally. Managing and training your team of drivers - recruiting additional staff as the need arises. Previous experience of co-ordinating haulage and transport legislation is essential.
