Salary:            £39,000 DOE Location:        Lutterworth, Leicestershire Position:        Permanent An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for a family business as a Transport Driver / Manager who has previous experience working as a Manager within a fast and challenging environment.  The Transport Driver / Manager will have day to day management responsibility for all transport. This Transport Driver / Manager’s working week shall be mixed between management and control of fleet vehicles and also driving duties. Applications welcome from Ex-Military personnel (Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Marines)  Main Duties and Responsibilities: •        Keep up to date on all new instructions, policies, procedures and changes in relevant legislation •        Ensure all site operations are carried out within Health & Safety and quality procedures •        Organise, plan, prioritise and schedule your own work and that of your team members •        Monitor, review and refine your team’s working methods to ensure continuous improvement •        Promote and manage change to produce positive results •        Ensure vehicles, plant and/or machinery perform at optimum levels •        Ensure vehicles, plant and/or machinery are serviced and maintained in accordance with procedures and set preventative maintenance plans •        Ensure internal and external customers’ requirements are fulfilled in a timely and appropriate manner •        Induct new team members to ensure they have the right skills and knowledge to undertake their roles effectively and to facilitate integration •        Manage and maintain discipline •        Utilise resources (human and other) effectively and legally •        Keep the team briefed •        Manage information effectively and action appropriately •        Ensure all equipment on site is maintained in line with relevant Health and Safety Regulations •        Ensure all key performance indicators are achieved Qualifications/Experience •        Class One License •        CPC Qualified •        Forklift License •        Organised and able to plan and prioritise (Essential) •        Able to problem solve (Essential) •        Working knowledge of Health & Safety at Work procedures (Essential) •        Computer literate (Microsoft Office packages, e-mail) (Essential) •        Previous management experience (Essential) •        Willingness to learn new skills •        Able to coach, mentor and lead others •        Reliable •        Able to stay calm under pressure •        Able to tolerate a significant amount of routine work Interested applicants will be expected to complete and return by email a simple application form to which CVs must be pasted and also to complete an online Video Interview
