The growth trajectory, scale and scope are such that onward career progression opportunities are significant. This role reports to the Head of Planning and Inventory Control. The main purpose of this role is to manage critical suppliers to meet network production output rates and be the interface between Operations sites and those suppliers. Manage the impact of key supply failure. Create a Business Continuity approach across all Operations Sites and develop root cause Supply Chain failure competency KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Chair Network production output meetings and understand root causes for variances to commitments with site General Managers and their Operational teams. * Implement Root Cause analysis processes for major production failures and implement cross site learning for generic / specific failure modes (Man, Method, Machine, Material, Service). * From Root Cause analysis learnings from Variation to Plan predict future failure modes and impact on volume. Recommend network level recommendations. * Develop Business Continuity approach across all sites to include site specific Incident Mgt approach, governance and preparedness and Business Continuity risk mitigation. * Lead on the interface between the sites and our sub contract sites, major suppliers and internal transport to support overall volumes. * Understand key pinch points with the provision of service and act as interface for resolution of process and organisational issues. * Should a key supply issue become apparent then the Supply Chain Operations Manager will manage the initial diagnostics at the supplier / contractor premises, organise requirements for managing the issue and provide short interval control to resolve. The Supply Chain Operations Manager will recommend approach and resources for long term recovery of situation. * For the implementation of new contractors or suppliers work with other key stakeholders and other support departments to design, setup and manage the industrialisation of the full Value Stream solution. * Grow community of “Operations and Production Control” personnel in root cause analysis as pertains to Supply Chain Failure in order to accurately capture root causes and provide countermeasures. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL * Ability to influence and lead change * People skills / teamwork / communications * Senior Stakeholder engagement * Supplier failure management – Management of major incidents disrupting supply and therefore production * Load and Capacity mgt with theoretical and practical experience * Microsoft Excel at intermediate competency * MRP System knowledge * Root Cause understanding DESIRABLE * Formal Business Continuity experience
