An opportunity has arisen for a Service Manager to join us at Vehicle Lease & Service, a leading UK fleet management and maintenance company. Along with a salary of £44,584 per annum, you will also receive a car allowance, full uniform, free onsite parking, EAP, a cycle to work scheme, a pension scheme, and 25 days annual leave (plus Bank Holidays), increasing to 29.  You will be responsible for the maintenance, people management and health and safety of internal workshops, working closely with our parent company customers to improve engagement with the workshops and providing updates on mechanical issues. The role will also support auditing our third-party supplier network. Some travel is required.  As Service Manager at Vehicle Lease & Service, your responsibilities will include:  Taking overall responsibility for maintenance related customer satisfaction within their allocated workshops. Ensuring that any KPIs related to Customer Satisfaction are met or exceeded. Ensuring that any KPIs related to employees are met or exceeded. Managing the performance of team leaders within the region. Ensuring that technical problems escalated up from either the workshop/team leader or another area of the business are dealt with by the relevant person or process. Taking overall responsibility for facilities management of workshops in region; seeking quotes for improvements or repairs where appropriate. Making recommendations for improvements where necessary to the relevant people. Coordinating the security requirements of the site, including staff passes, management of visitors. Ensuring that any KPIs or legal requirements related to health and safety are met or exceeded. Providing leadership in relation to Health and Safety, ensuring VLS’ vision and values are understood and delivered. Conducting regular workshop visits to ensure all key metrics are understood and being delivered. Also, ensuring compliance in all areas of CS, operations, and employee engagement. Ensuring workshop weekly meetings are being held and attend at least once a month. At Vehicle Lease & Service, we’re looking for a Service Manager with the following:  NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Full driving Licence A mechanical background, ideally in HGV/light plant/commercials. Demonstrated people management skills IOSH/Transport Manager (CPC) qualification is desirable. VLS operates a fleet of more than 5,000 assets including Vans, HGV Trailers, and Large plant.
