Senior Test, Evaluation & Acceptance Engineer Our client is looking for a Test Evaluation & Acceptance – TEA Engineer or Manager. This role will need to be the owner of multiple documents / plans and need to be able to articulate plans. Aerospace experience is key. This role will be heavily involved in qualification activity for airborne products. Located in Christchurch, Dorset with an extremely competitive salary plus excellent benefits including up to 12% pension contribution. The successful candidate should have: * Aerospace / Defence background and ideally have knowledge / experience of electronics, surveillance background electronic warfare. * Be familiar with Project Management principles and practice, have expertise in the integration, qualification and test of products containing RF, analog and digital hardware, software and embedded software. * Have experience of aircraft systems, platform integration, and associated regulatory environment including, but not limited to security, EMC, TEMPEST, RoHS, WEEE, Mil Stds, Def Stans, EASA, FAA. * Be familiar with aerospace and Defence industries, markets, products and technologies. * Have familiarity with the product lifecycle from system requirements, architecture, design, integration, qualification, verification, through to production and support * Experience in the integration, qualification and test of one or more of the following: radar, electronic warfare, communications and / or surveillance systems for an airborne environment. The Senior Test, Evaluation & Acceptance (TEA) engineer is responsible for applying discipline domain expertise to the formal test, evaluation and acceptance activities of an advanced, airborne electronic warfare training system. The engineer will be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and will contribute to the performance of the IPT as a Test Manager to ensure that the Customer’s expectations are met or exceeded. The engineer will have responsibility for the conduct of formal tests (FAT and UAT), evaluation activities including flight trials and system acceptance through verification of the customer system requirements. This will include, but is not limited to, development of the test plans, identification of specialist resource and test infrastructure required to enable the verification of the requirements and the design, implementation and completion of the qualification tests. The engineer will support the creation of the necessary documentation required to support end use airworthiness certification. The engineer shall employ the appropriate processes, practices and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements with the needed quality. Responsibilities also include the delivery of a technically compliant solution within the required project objectives (quality, technical performance, schedule and budget) and in compliance with the required standards, processes and practices (e.g. Life Cycle Management, Standard Operating Framework for Engineering and ITAR). The engineer will be expected to conduct the test, evaluation and acceptance of the system as appropriate throughout the project lifecycle to the achievement of final system acceptance.
