Employee Assistance Programme Excellent career progression and working on state-of-the-art technology making a positive contribution to carbon reduction. 25 days Annual Leave + 8 Public Holidays   The Role You will be the technical lead for all electrical and electronic projects within the business and its partners.  Interfacing with existing and new customers, universities, and partners, the Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer will deliver projects from concept through to volume manufactured products. Supporting the business development teams you will actively seek innovative ideas and new production methods to grow the business. You will join regular status update meetings with customers to provide detailed progress and technical expertise, to support the organisation's mission in being and becoming the partner of choice for all manufacturing projects. Key functions of the role include developing and maintaining technology roadmaps. You will collaborate with partners to align BD requirements with push from investors and low TRL projects. The Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer will provide technical guidance at internal reviews and support development of project pipeline and support customer events on and off site to ensure maximum value. You will help to scope projects that deliver value and revenue to the business and inform decision making based on knowledge of manufacturing systems and EV supply chains. The Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer will plan projects supporting deliverable and milestones of stakeholders (consortium) and manage delivery of company commitments using appropriate processes and governance structure. Additionally, you will lead manufacture of demonstrator and prototype products required engaging with all appropriate areas of the business. Other responsibilities include reviewing and communicating electrical / electronic specifications and standards to key stakeholders and developing new internal / external specifications and standards as required. Additionally, you will manage the delivery of assigned projects from concept through to delivery. Within this role there will be travel expected to customer sites for meetings, delivery, and commissioning and you will be responsible for meeting critical and exacting targets / deadlines – with various customers and projects. The Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer will use sound judgment to escalate delivery problems, contractual issues or risk and agree changes required in a timely manner. The Person The successful candidate for the position of Senior Electrical and Electronics Engineer will possess a recognised qualification in a relevant discipline to Electrical and Electronic engineering and be able to demonstrate proven experience in leading electrical systems projects for a manufacturing business. Proven experience in identifying technology roadmaps and advising on the best and most effective routes for electrical systems development and its associated manufacturing requirements is a requirement for the role in addition to work collaboratively with commercial and business development teams to support bids, tenders, and ongoing packages of work. You will be able to communicate effective with recourse to data and demonstrate an inclusive and engagement-driven approach to your work within electrical engineering. You will enjoy regular interaction with customers including visiting customer sites and collaborating with other stakeholders both internally and externally.
