Employee Assistance Programme Excellent career progression and working on state-of-the-art technology making a positive contribution to carbon reduction. 25 days Annual Leave + 8 Public Holidays The Role The Senior Business Development Manager will have a direct reporting line to the Managing Director at Hyperbat and matrix reports to the Head of Business Development within each joint venture business. The primary function of the role is to be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities with new customers and or new products as well as lead and coordinate the sales team. The position will fully utilise the tools, techniques and best practice of both shareholders Group and the use of the Hyperbat Business Operating Systems to achieve business goals and objectives.  Key Responsibilities: To create a commercial strategy and portfolio of accounts in line with the corporate plan To lead the business development team, including engagement, capability/performance plans and retention of key talent [2 direct reports] Provide effective coaching and line management, which includes conducting regular one-to-one reviews, annual appraisals and ensuring the team utilise the Unipart Way tools and techniques. Identify target partners for Mid-long term business opportunities, providing business intelligence, which will identify the future opportunities. Work collaboratively with JV partners, delivering appropriate levels of communication and as acting as voice of the customer. To support the forecasting and delivery of budget aligned to Hyperbat business plan, including ensuring continuous updating of CRM & ERP tools. Responsible for preparing RFQs and business cases for new enquiries. Key interface for customer on all commercial activities including NPI. Accountable for the overall new customer relationships Coordinate cross-functional activities on behalf of the customer, including value for money activities. Facilitate cost estimation activities. The Person The Senior Business Development Manager for HyperBat will have Account Management experience either at first or second tier supplier level in the automotive industry or comparable manufacturing business.  You will be a proven contract negotiator, with demonstrable coaching and mentoring experience. The Senior BDM for HyperBat will have experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment and a proven track record of delivering commercially strong projects and maintaining relationships. You will have an understanding of product design and manufacturing engineering and the ability to develop networks with Customers to ensure we consistently provide a high-quality service which exceeds our customer requirements. You will be familiar with and able to update customer portals including Convisint and SupplyOn and showcase sound commercial and financial judgement.  HyperBat is a fast-paced and agile environment and as such the Snr BMD will embody the organisation’s passion and sense of urgency in their work.
