The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Engineer to join our Non-Conformance team, providing essential support to the Manufacturing teams in the UK. This role is vital in ensuring the quality and integrity of our defence products. Key Responsibilities: Non-Conformance Management: Provide frontline support for non-conformance management within the Manufacturing functions, including administration of non-conformities and containment activities. Data Analysis: Collate and analyze non-conformance data using business tools like Google NLP, highlight adverse trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement, and implement and verify permanent corrective actions. KPI Reporting: Collect and communicate business KPIs at all levels. Quality Metrics Analysis: Analyze data related to CQN (Rework/Scrap), returns, and yields. Problem Solving: Facilitate Practical Problem Solving activities, determine root causes, and implement robust corrective actions using relevant Quality Tools. New Product Integration: Support the transfer of new products into manufacturing, utilizing historical data and lessons learned. Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate non-conformance meetings from the shop floor to Manufacturing Heads, provide product information, and escalate issues. Customer Concerns: Manage customer concerns and escapes, interact with Inter-Company facilities across Europe, including France, Italy, and Germany, and handle external customers. Inscape Management: Manage inscapes between business units within Manufacturing. Collaboration: Interface with Programs Quality representatives and the wider Quality teams, share data packs, and progress non-conformities and improvements.What We're Looking For: Ideally qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND in a relevant subject or with equivalent work experience. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data to identify trends and drive improvements. Confidence to report to all levels of the business. Strong Practical Problem Solving skills, capable of leading and facilitating improvement activities. Good planning and organizing skills to prioritize and monitor multiple tasks to meet objectives. Highly self-motivated, with determination and persistence to deliver results despite obstacles and setbacks
