Ensure that products and services meet the requirements of customers, quality standards and airworthiness authorities. * Work in accordance with HSE legislation, the Company Operating Systems, policies and procedures. * Member of the Management & Quality Teams – contribute to the global company management to achieve its goals and development of its values & behaviours. * Provide professional standards and leadership for the Quality team * Create and maintain Quality Plans as applicable * Process owner for approval of certifying staff and issue of their stamps * Obtain, seek and assure SHEUK has the capability to maintain its business critical airworthiness, QMS and customer approvals * Embed Quality targets and ensure implementation of strategies, plans and programmes which deliver Quality improvement directly toward customer satisfaction and the reduction of non-conformance * Provide an information and problem solving service with respect to Quality which is seen by our customers to be responsive, accurate and practicable * Provide advice and support to the business on airworthiness related issues, plan events to increase awareness levels of key compliance issues * Assume the role as Quality point of contact for SHEUK customers, organise and attend meetings and visits as necessary to meet contractual requirements and maintain relationships * Educate everyone within the business about the needs of customers, airworthiness, human factors, QRQC and Quality requirements * Identify best practice externally and internally and champion it across the business * Develop and deploy Quality strategy for the business sector ensuring its continued alignment with Safran directives * Requesting the intervention of Corporate Quality to judge differences of opinion with respect to quality standards * Report incidents which may affect product safety to the airworthiness authorities under mandatory occurrence reporting * Facilitate the understanding and use of business improvement skills and methodology across the company * Coach the improvement teams to achieve success * Support the senior managers to develop plans and commission teams to support the identified and agreed improvement projects and activities across the business. * Formally review all projects to assure principles are sustained, maintain focus and professionalism, assure timely completion and reporting of performance data * Make the business groups aware of all issues arising within the improvement projects through regular reviews with senior managers Skills & Requirements: * A degree/post graduate level qualification or equivalent in a relevant discipline * Proven experience in a managerial Quality or operational role within either the aviation, automotive or regulated industry, being able to clearly demonstrate achievement of set objectives * Experience in aerospace/automotive processes and procedures. * PC literate and ability to use software tools. * Interpretation of technical manuals, procedures and Instructions - essential. * Excellent diagnostic/problem-solving skills & ability to perform systematic analysis of written and numeric data * Be able to communicate clearly at all levels within SHE UK and SHE France * Develop the application of the standards using experience of the full range of Quality methods and principles
