Cobham Mission Systems in Wimborne have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Project Manager (known internally as a Procurement Manager). This role sits within our highly successful air to air refuelling part of the business and is aligned to a specific high profile customer base. Your key objective will be to ensure the correct support from our suppliers aligned to the program through life, to ensure the program delivers to budget, time and quality requirements. The Procurement Manager is responsible for scoping, designing, implementation and the management of the total product supply chain throughout the lifecycle management process and life time support, this encompasses: Determining programme supply chain requirements e.g. commercial, technical and timing requirements against all market opportunities Developing (with ops) the supply chain design including Supply Base, MvB, condition of supply etc. Providing robust RC and NRC cost base and timing to implementation for all elements within the B.O.M Generating cost models for product material cost base used in bid submission and the CSR process Ensuring supply chains are in place that enable the products to be supported through life, particularly post serial manufactureThis role is based in Wimborne, Dorset. As a Procurement Manager, your skills and qualifications will ideally include: Procurement and/or Project Management background aligned to supply chain management. Significant experience of designing supply chains, in conjunction with operations, to meet challenging requirements Strong commercial and financial acumen Excellent grasp of Lifecycle Management & through life support processes Good team working skills Good interpersonal skills and able to manage commercial relationships Ideally a graduate Experience in working with IPT's delivering sources of supply to new product development programmes CIPS would be an advantage but is not essential As a Procurement Manager, your main responsibilities will involve: Determines whether supply chains can be developed to support product opportunities at Gate 1B (Bid / No bid) Designs the external supply chain to integrate seamlessly into product manufacturing plan Creates/manages procurement plans to ensure program compliance to requirement and business case Accountable for determining cost and implementation schedule of product supply chains Responsible for achieving programme objectives: Cost, Schedule and contractual commitments Manages the development and aggregation of the full program, commercial, timing and technical requirements to support sourcing and selection of each element within the B.O.M Embeds supply chain implementation plan into overall product IMS. Understands critical dependencies impacting the SC implementation program within the prime program, including internal and supplier dependencies manages accordingly Manages (in a matrix structure) wider procurement team members delivering supply chain work packages for their products Works with Commodity team to establish sourcing strategy for all major work packages Ensures compliance with customer flow-down requirements (offset, DFAR, quality, etc.) Establishes and manages risk and opportunity plans Drives cost/schedule compliance for all supply chain work packages being delivered in the product B.O.M throughout the lifecycle
