Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence. They are committed to innovation and the continual pursuit of improvement, and with a brand holding over 100 years of service they are now developing their technology capabilities, venturing into new markets, and building their customer base further. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Manager on a 12-Month contract based within the Clients site in Marlow.. Key Responsibilities * Work with the team to prepare and update programme plans and work packages. * Support regular stand-up meetings to consider the PM aspects and actions of such review outputs. * Report progress to Programme Sponsor and Programme Manager and other relevant stakeholders. * Working with the team to define and manage key risks, including mitigation strategy, to ensure that the budget and schedule are both maintained. * Direct, motivate and provide leadership to the team. * Plan and deliver design, integration and test activities, working with key stakeholders across the team. * You will ensure that all project deliverables, deadlines and client expectations are met and that they are aligned with contractual obligations. * You will actively seek to increase contract value and benefits through the contracts change management process. * You will lead project planning sessions to set clear project goals and objectives, determine timelines, define tasks, and outline resources necessary to successfully complete the project Qualifications and Experience * Relevant degree within a technical, business or Project Management field. * At least 3-5 years’ experience delivering projects within a technical environment. * Strong commercial and contractual awareness. * Must be willing to travel on occasion. * Expertise within PM software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project. * Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills. * Strong management, leadership and interpersonal skills. * Ability to present technical and complex information clearly and concisely at a level appropriate to the target audience. * Ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints in a fast paced, rapidly evolving environment. * Ability to interface and effectively influence and negotiate with internal and external customers/stakeholders. * Familiarity with the formal product development lifecycle (through requirements capture, to design, to verification and production), including leading design reviews. * Understanding of the design and integration of airborne systems, including electronics and RF systems would be a distinct advantage, as would PM experience of programmes related to radar and/or communications systems. * Experience working in the Aerospace Industry, and familiarity with safety analysis and airworthiness certification. * You are likely to have a science or engineering degree, supported by significant engineering lifecycle experience. * Good decision maker, with strong interpersonal skills, capable of project managing a dynamic team. * SC security clearance would be an advantage.
